Thanks again for reading and taking part. New Books to Follow: Wilding by Stephen Rutt. We Made a Meadow, Yvette Verner. The Light in the Dark by Horatio Clare. There’s also new watering hosepipes from Hozelock and a biomix plant feed maker. Are there any new products/ books you would recommend?

    • Thank you Margarita. Affectionate greetings in return. It has turned cold here. 9C. And I have taken my winter clothes out and put them on. We’ve also had floods, though not in our village. People have had homes and gardens flooded in surrounding villages. We’ve had two months average rain in 24 hours. It’s been awful. I’m back and forth checking on my mother. Much love Karen xxx

      • Karen I am very sorry about the floods. Has your dear Mother’s house been flooded? Be very careful when traveling with the car, do not pass through any flooded area. The rains are due to the last blows in the form of a great storm of Hurricane Lorenzo. Today Thursday day 3 affected the United Kingdom. Karen be very careful with the rain and be constantly informed of the weather in your area with a local radio station or a local television station if you have: if not the local radio is the best. Take care of your Mother, I appreciate her very much. And take care of yourself, you are my best friend. In Spain fifteen days ago by a meteorological situation called “Cold Drop” that suffers every year the Mediterranean area, this year the rains have been brutal, reaching 400 liters per square meter in 3 hours, and have destroyed entire villages and even cities like Valencia flooded. And the worst 7 people have died. Until the province of Madrid, a city has been flooded and destroyed. Be very careful Karen, I know what I’m talking about. Warm up, don’t go cold. Today in Madrid we are at 26ºC. It is abnormal. Karen, a lot of courage, a lot of strength, a lot of love and a lot of care for your whole family and for you. Greetings from Margarita xxx

    What a thrill it is to win The Good Bee book! Thank you!
    I’d like to recommend my book for review, a humorous memoir about raising “kids, crops, and critters” in Colorado Springs, Colorado. There are stories about participating in a plant exchange in a garden club, going on a bee swarm capture, and holding a garden tour fundraiser. The title is Please Don’t P*ss on the Petunias. I’d be happy to send you a copy to read and a copy to give away.

        I received The Good Bee yesterday, October 9th! Thank you! What a pretty and sweet little book–I love the cover design with the gold, and the illustrations. I’m sure I’ll love the rest once I get a chance to do more than skim through (we’re getting ready for our first winter storm, due tomorrow). I’ll light a beeswax candle and make a cup of tea for that reading. 🙂
