Karen – thank you for following my blog. I love hydrangeas which grow very well here in Oregon. My mom does not like them so much and we have a fun little battle over this issue. I smile every time I see or hear about hydrangeas thinking about my mom and our friendly disagreement. Thank you for bringing a smile to my day with your post.
What a lovely thing to say. I’m glad I’ve made you smile. That is what gardening and friendship is all about. I’m pleased to have found a kindred spirit via gardening and writing. All the very best. Karen x
I wonder if you’ve seen a hydrangea called gypsy. If not, do look out for it. It’s new and so very pretty at all stages of growth. I’ll post some photos if I can find them. x
Thank you Cathy. It’s a fab plant. Had lovely creamy white flowers in summer (good for flower arranging) and bright autumn colours. Keeps its leaves into the new year.

I have not heard of the gypsy – I will look into it. Maybe it will be the hydrangea that converts my mom!

They are such good value plants. Lovely pinky white flowers in summer, then leaves that last right into the new year.
