Hi Karen, lovely pic. I know you were wondering if it was a Common Carder, Carders don’t have the black and yellow. If you go onto the Bumblebee conservation site there’s a handy ID guide there 🙂

Funny how the camera, especially in closeups, can show things we don’t particularly notice. Makes one realize how affected by perception our ‘vision’ actually is…
