I took part in an interview for BBC local radio today. I’m live from my greenhouse at home at 1.47.39 on the timeline. Talking about youngsters getting involved in gardening by growing houseplants. No one would know, but there’s a disgruntled robin flapping around my head. He obviously considers my greenhouse his territory. I fielded him off with a spider plant. Quite funny now. Slightly off putting at the time. Do have a listen in when you have a minute. And you can laugh if you like. I won’t mind.
Citrus in your greenhouse? It looks wonderfully healthy, Karen

Thank you Cathy. I think I’ll have some for making marmalade soon. Very exciting! The grapefruit though is looking rather poorly. I might have to bring it indoors. Not quite warm enough in the greenhouse. And it’s covered in scale. I’ll need to settle down quietly and use a pot scourer on all the leaves. I’ll have to wait until I’m feeling particularly patient one day!

Karen when I finish with the mail I listen to you and if I hear you laugh I laugh too. I think the protagonist of the story is the Robin that if instead of real life were drawings of Dysney I would lock you in the Greenhouse so you could not enter! It is believed to be yours and it hovers over your head, how funny. Good thing you love the animals so much that you put him at ease in a spider plant. And all because you let the robin stay in the Greenhouse so it does not go cold: Karen has a heart of gold. Give many memories and love to your mother from me. For your family love and health. Karen love, health and rest. Take care. Very loving greetings from Margarita.

Karen just listened to you on BBC Leicester radio on Ben Jackson’s program talking on the phone about plants. I have not heard about almost anything, but I do know that you have terrariums in your house, I think. How cute! And you have been joking about the irrigation of the terrariums: you defended that there is almost no need to water them and Ben Jackson could not believe that you had terrariums. I think you told me about the robin, which did not leave you alone. And you have given advice on caring for a plant at the end. It has been a very entertaining interview and with laughter at some moments: I loved it. If I knew more English I would have liked more. Thank you very much Karen. Greetings from Margarita.

Thank you Margarita. So kind of you to listen in. It was a little strange standing in my greenhouse talking on the radio! It’s usually so peaceful in there. Have a wonderful weekend. Greetings to you and your family. Love karen xx

Thank you Margarita. I do let the robin come in from the cold. But I had murderous thoughts as he flapped about while I was trying to think. I’m glad you laughed . Laughter is the best medicine in life. Much love – karen xxx

You can laugh. Honestly I don’t mind. You can picture me with a spider plant over my head, fending him off. I thought robins were supposed to be friendly. I let him in to keep warm, and then he does that. It was hard to concentrate. I’m not sure I made any sense. Enjoy your weekend mike. xx
